Birchwood Automotive Group has an immediate opportunity for a Social Marketing Specialist who is responsible for creating, coordinating and executing the Birchwood Content and Social strategies. Birchwood is looking for an individual who can facilitate growth across social channels, maximize engagement opportunities and showcase the breadth of the Birchwood organization to Manitobans.

We are looking for someone with an attention to detail and love for digital platforms and creating content. By supporting overall marketing and communication objectives, this position is essential to help bring our brand to life. This is a full-time position based in our Winnipeg, MB office.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism or diploma in Creative Communications
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and content best practices
• A love for branding, content strategy, modern design
• Passion for the customer experience
• Prior experience managing content creation and social media
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; articulate and skilled at telling a visual story and presenting to external audiences though audio, video and written formats

The Social Marketing Specialist Will

• Coordinate, produce and publish engaging social media and web content for Birchwood Automotive Group based on existing content strategies.
• Manage content publishing and feed curation on Birchwood Automotive Group social channels— Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok
• Develop monthly reports based on engagement metrics.
• Support Birchwood Automotive Group brand engagement events and opportunities through live content capturing and publishing
• Stay up-to-date with all social trends and changes.

Essential Skills / Details

• Experience using social media platforms
• Experience in automotive industry considered an asset
• Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud and content scheduling tools
• Copywriting—creating platform-specific copy for our customers while conveying a consistent brand tone
• Photography & Videography — high level photography and photo editing skills, including the ability to shoot videos for social media content
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
